FutureSelf

FutureSelf Workshop

March 22 – 25 | Bemis School of Art

This spring break workshop will bring together at-risk teens from across the city for a collaborative project while learning the art of film making. Students will spend four days interpreting visual art from the exhibitions through poetry, performance, discussion, reflection and writing; culminating with creation of a community mural outside Bemis School of Art.

Throughout the workshop, different youth artists will film the creative process, discussions and art galleries, depicting both obvious and subtle examples of "conflict and resolution" at play. The edited film will be shown in the FAC Screening Room, along with artwork created during the workshop, June 5-19.
