Costume Shop Manager

The award winning Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Theatre Company (LOA/LORT) is seeking a Costume Shop Manager (CSM). This is a full-time, exempt position with a generous benefits package that begins in June, 2017. The CSM is expected to oversee the execution of all costumes, hair, makeup and attending personnel, budgets and schedules for all FAC productions. The CSM works with the Director of Production and the Costume Designer to ensure the Creative Team’s vision is achieved on time and on budget. This entails the direct supervision and scheduling of all personnel in the Costume Shop, Hair and Make-up department, and production related Wardrobe Crews. S/he will closely monitor and support both the rehearsal and performance process and maintain clear and accurate records of both time and money. Assistant Museum Preparator

This part-time position will work under the direction and cooperatively with the staff preparators, curators, and registrars on all facets of exhibition installation and de-installation including the permanent collection galleries, special exhibition galleries, Tactile Gallery, and art in public areas. Administrative Assistant

This full-time position is responsible for the content management for the Fine Arts Center’s Bemis School of Art including course offerings, workshops, special programs, merchandise and other art school needs. Works closely with lead Administrative Assistant and is responsible for providing general administrative support, customer service and executing tasks related to organizational development. Costume Department Workers

The costume department of the FAC Theatre Company has ongoing needs, on a contract basis, for individuals with experience and proficient skills in any or all of the following: alteration tailoring, patterning/cutting, draping, working from a commercial pattern, handwork, costume craft (e.g. hat and mask making), and fabric painting and/or dying. Theatre Designers and Technicians

The Fine Arts Center Theatre Company accepts resumes on an on-going basis. The Theatre Company encourages high production values and quality theatre for its patrons, and is looking for talented and creative people to join our team, both on contractual and employment basis. Potential candidates will have formal education and/or experience in the theatre industry. We periodically have need for the following positions:

Marketing Internship

Work closely with the FAC’s Communications Department to help us tell our story: through video, text, photographs, social media, website, blog, etc. This internship is a part-time position with a requested min.commitment of 20 hours per week.

Job requirements: Ability to learn and use new technology, interest in social media, video or digital content editing skills, marketing or journalism background strongly preferred. Benefits: Free admission to gallery exhibitions, theatre productions and select FAC events. Telecommuting is OK unless onsite video, interviewing, or meeting is required.
