Why Use the Enterprise Zone?

SAVE MONEY AND SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE CAUSES.

Colorado State’s Enterprise Zone legislation permits a 25% tax credit, with an annual credit limit of $100,000, for Colorado taxpayers who make unrestricted cash contributions of $500 or more to the FAC. In-kind and stock contributions receive a 12.5% tax credit.

To make an eligible donation:

  • Make your check payable to El Paso County Enterprise Zone
  • On the memo line write FAC
  • Drop off or mail your check to the
    Fine Arts Center
    Development Department

    Colorado Springs, CO  80903

We will fill out the necessary forms, submit the paperwork, and ensure that you receive your tax credit certificate from the Enterprise Zone. Please call 719.477.4319 with questions.

About the Enterprise Zone
The Enterprise Zone Program is a tax incentive to encourage job growth and contributions in our area. In December 2004, the Office of Economic Development and International Trade approved the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center to be an Enterprise Zone Project.

Why should I make a donation to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center?
During uneasy economic times, people are often less likely to support the arts. But the Fine Arts Center needs your annual fund donation more than ever. We remain committed to providing arts education to children and adults through the Bemis School of Art, offering a full season of outstanding theatre and presenting world-class art exhibitions. This will only be possible through the support of individuals like you!

I’m a member – isn’t that enough?
Being a member is a great start, but membership dues make up just 6% of the FAC’s revenue budget. We need your donation to enable us to continue bringing quality programming to Colorado Springs.

Annual Fund

Angel Society

Join the sustaining force behind artistic discovery at the Fine Arts Center. After an expansion, many museums experience a transition period of three years that stretches the capacity of the organization. The Angel Society was created to ease that transition for the FAC by providing a stable and continual source of operating funds, enabling growth in programming and community outreach. Angel Society donors pledge anywhere from $1,000 to $100,000 annually for three years, which includes a Donor Circle membership.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match $1 for $1, or even $2 for $1, for the gifts that employees make to nonprofit organizations. Some even give financial donations to match volunteer time by employees. Ask your human resource department for the matching gift policy of your place of employment, then submit their required paperwork along with your donation to make your gift go even further.

The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center relies on donated goods and services to enhance and promote our services to the community. Receiving items through donations continues to keep the FAC operating budget as low as possible and all in-kind donations are tax-deductible. Museum Society

The Museum Society is designed for our most impassioned and discerning members who appreciate an exclusive opportunity to deepen their involvement and understanding of the visual arts on levels otherwise difficult to obtain.
The Museum Society is driven by your interests, your passion. Your ideas and input will help shape this program as it continuously evolves.

We anticipate a minimum of five exclusive events for Museum Society members each year. Just a few of these events will include curator-led tours of private art collections; intimate behind-the-scenes looks at relevant artists’ studios; and day-trips to regional museums and galleries.

As a member, you’ll also have the opportunity to travel across the country on a major three- to four-day trip to enjoy other museums, private collection tours, and fine dining. We have the connections to set up an itinerary you’d be hard-pressed to find through any travel agency!

The Museum Society is an excellent opportunity to share your passion in visual arts with other fine art enthusiasts.

Curtain Call Society

When you join the Curtain Call Society, you help the Fine Arts Center hire professional actors, costume, scenic, lighting and sound designers, and other theatre professionals. The Curtain Call Society also supports our summer youth programs, allowing students ages 5-18 to experience professional theatrical training at an affordable price. Your gift is tax-deductible, subject to IRS rules, and will support the FAC Performing Arts Department.

Your FAC membership provides an opportunity for you to join Curtain Call.
