The Broadmoor Art Academy at 100: A Lasting Legacy
January 1, 2019-January 1, 2020
In 1919, the Broadmoor Art Academy was founded on the same site upon which the FAC sits today. Through 1935, the BAA provided instruction to hundreds of students from across the globe, attracted by the illustrious faculty and the grandeur of our natural surroundings. Drawn from the Fine Arts Center’s permanent collection, A Lasting Legacy features stunning works by BAA instructors, students, and influencers such as Ernest Lawson, Robert Reid, Charles Bunnell, Birger Sandzen, and Laura Gilpin, telling the story of the early years of our Rocky Mountain nexus of the arts.
