The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College is the place for aspiring theatre artists in the Pikes Peak region.
The Fine Arts Center Theatre Company offers innovative and comprehensive professional theatre training programs for students ages 5-adult. Musical theatre, design, acting, play analysis, dancing, stand-up comedy, and collaborative process are just a sampling of the rich curriculum offered by our award-winning professional staff of instructors. We believe that the development of theatrical skills is a life-long journey. We want our students to become part of the FAC family as they pursue further training in the arts.

Emerging Artists Spring Session
Ages 9-13 | Feb. 3-April 7, Saturdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Who doesn’t love a musical filled with exuberant dancing, rich singing and focused acting? Join us for our musical theatre intensive for emerging artists that is designed to take triple threats to the next level. A can’t miss for students interested in all aspects of America’s greatest art form, the musical. This class will culminate in a staged performance of My Son Pinocchio Jr. $225 ($200 members)

Androcles and the Lion Day Camps
Ages 6-13 | March 3-31, Saturdays 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Delight your young emerging artist in a magical experience they won’t soon forget. Our Day Camps offer kids a fun, educational experience complete with a tour of the theatre, hands-on activities, a personal meet-and-greet with the cast members, and more! Performance tickets to Androcles and the Lion are additional. $20
Ages 5-8 | June 4-8, 9-11 a.m.
Places everyone! It’s time once again to raise the curtain on our youngest performers. This class is perfect for the scene-stealing stars and the budding thespians waiting quietly in the wings. Students will sing, dance, and act their way into the magical world of musical theatre, where every day will be filled with music, movement, and adventure. This session will culminate with a performance during the final class session. $150 ($135 members)
Youth Rep Summer Session
Ages 14-18 | June 25-July 29
Auditions | Sunday, April 8, 5 – 9 p.m.
The Youth Repertory Theatre program is the only professional training program for student actors and design technicians in the Pikes Peak region. The serious theater student will receive comprehensive, hands-on training through a rigorous class schedule that combines master classes along with a structured rehearsal period and performance experiences. The performance and technical tracks of the program have been designed for both new and returning students in order to develop basic skills as well as foster continual learning and growth. $950 ($900 members)
Adult Women’s Dance Class
Ages 21+ | Jan. 22-March 12, Mondays 7-8:30 p.m.
A high-energy class, with drop-in rates, featuring combinations from choreography featured in recent and upcoming FAC productions as well as iconic dances from the silver screen, Broadway, and more.
$200 ($175 members) for all eight sessions

Adult Acting Class
Ages 21+ | March 19-April 30, Mondays 7-9 p.m. (No class on April 16)
Explore the fundamentals of acting in this class designed for adult actors looking to develop their craft. A great class for audition prep as this class will include cold reads, monologues, and scene work. $200 ($175 members)
Stand-Up Comedy Class
Ages 18+ | June 13-Aug. 1, Wednesdays 7-8:30 p.m.
Final Performance on Aug. 3 at 6 p.m.
This course is designed primarily to teach the tools of humor writing for live stand-up performance. Students will deconstruct the performances of stand-up comedians, learn the foundations from which modern comedy stems, and work to develop their own voice. The course will culminate in a live stand-up performance at the Fine Arts Center showcasing students’ original work. $200 ($175 members)
