Musical Theatre Madness

Ages 8-10 | June 10-21 (2 week session)
9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Who doesn’t love a musical filled with exuberant dancing, rich singing and focused acting? Join us for our musical theatre intensive for emerging artists that is designed to take triple threats to the next level. A can’t miss for students interested in all aspects of America’s greatest art form, the musical. This session will culminate with a staged performance of Madagascar – A Musical Adventure Jr during the final class.

Creating Characters

Ages 8-10 | June 10-21 (2 week session)
12:45-4 p.m.

The fundamentals of acting will be explored in this fun and collaborative class. Learn how to develop characters, tell a story and work with others through theatre games and scripted text. Emerging artists will love this natural extension of their previous theatrical endeavors. This session will culminate with a showcase based on the play The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane during the final class.

The Best of Both Worlds –
Musical Theatre and Creating Characters

Ages 8-10 | June 10-21 (2 week session)
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For the student who doesn’t want to choose!  Emerging Artists will spend half of the day studying, rehearsing and a performing in a play and the other half of the day honing their singing and dancing skills in a one-act musical. A can’t miss experience for students interested in all aspects theatre. This session will culminate with students participating in both productions during the final class.

New Class! Advanced Musical Theatre

Ages 11-13 | June 10-21 (2 week session)
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rising musical theatre stars take note! This class is designed for students who yearn to further develop their love of singing, dancing, and acting. Students will spend the day working on song interpretation, Broadway choreography, and scene work. The perfect stepping stone to the Youth Rep Ensemble program. This session will culminate with a performance of Disney’s Frozen Jr. on June 21 in the evening.

New Class! Let’s Make a Musical!

Ages 8-13 | July 22-Aug. 2 (2 week session)
9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Ever wonder what it takes to make a musical? If so, this is the class for you. Students will work with instructors on creating a brand new musical. Singing, dancing, acting, writing, designing, and directing will all be explored in the class. This session will culminate with a performance of their original work during the final class.
